Being buyers (especially buyers with two kids under three and on a tight budget) in a 'sellers market' was always going to be difficult. We had a long and very stressful search for our new house. We wereconstantly frustrated by real estate agents who were 'too busy' to return our calls and emails or who didn't bother because 'it was sold before you contacted me'.T hen there were those whoignored what we hadv ery carefully explained we were looking for and tried to sell us anything and everything that was in our price range regardless,wasting our time, and theirs. Then there was the real estate agent who insisted on telling us about housesfar above our price range and told us'$50k is not really that much more to spend'!!!!.

I listed my house with 6 real estate agents right after the end of the Real Estate "boom'" in Qld, mainly because I'd heard that exclusive listers didn't work as hard.
